Michael Jackson Nobel Peace Prize Petition
Die-hard Michael Jackson fans want the late King of Pop nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Devout followers of the legendary music star believe MJ should be honored for his charity work and “lifelong dedication to the well being of humanity” and have launched an online petition seeking the nomination for the late star, who died of cardiac arrest on June 25.
Although nominees are not selected by popular vote, more than 2,000 people have joined the campaign initiated by Los Angeles student Anneliese Nichole Brown, Sky News reports.
“Michael’s message for humankind has always been rooted in compassion and kindness,” Brown wrote. “He has succeeded in a lifelong dedication to the well-being of humanity. Moving beyond all political, social and economic borders, Michael Jackson consistently spread a positive message of global unity, healing and love.”
