Michael Jackson was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday, after suffering a possible cardiac arrest.
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the 50-year-old pop legend was rushed to the hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department following a rehearsal for his big comeback tour, set to kick off in London next month.
Capt. Steve Ruda with the Los Angeles Fire Department tells The Los Angeles Times that Jackson was not breathing when they arrived. Ruda corroborated an earlier report that CPR was administered.
According to The L.A. Times and local station KABC, Michael has been taken to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, California.
Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson told E! News that he knows his son is in the hospital, but doesn’t have any details: “I am in Las Vegas, but yes people in Los Angeles called me and are with Michael and tell me he was taken to the hospital. His mother is on her way to the hospital now to check in on him. I am not sure what’s wrong. I am waiting to hear back from them.”
