The funeral for the late King of Pop Michael Jackson may be bigger than that of the services honoring Princess Diana and the King of Rock n’ Roll, Elvis Presley, experts say.

More than 750,000 teary-eyed fans lined the streets of Memphis to pay their respects to Elvis. In 2007, Diana’s funeral saw a gathering of 250,000 people in London’s Hyde Park alone, and it was watched on TV by 2.5 billion people worldwide, a record for any television broadcast.

According to The Daily Express, hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world are expected to line the streets of Los Angeles for Jackson’s funeral, which is expected to take place on Wednesday or Thursday at the infamous Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara

.Michael Jackson wished to be buried at his Neverland ranch, a friend of the late star has revealed.

Jackson was forced to close down his former Santa Barbara County, California estate in 2006 following allegations of child abuse.

“Michael wanted Neverland to be his final resting place but wasn’t sure the authorities would give permission. It would give fans a place to focus on and a place to visit,” says a source for the British Sun.

“Neverland would become a place of pilgrimage. It would also leave his heirs a legacy which could be worth billions.”

A televised funeral service could be followed by a procession through the streets before a private burial.
