A bench warrant has been issued in Nevada for Michael Jackson’s physican after the Death Doc failed to appear for a court hearing in a pending child support matter.

According to The Las Vegas Review-Journal, Dr. Conrad Murray owes more than $13,000 in back chilld support to Nenita Malibiran, the mother of his child. On Wednesday, a family court hearing master recommended the warrant be issued after Dr. Murray skipped court. A district judge must approve the warrant in order for it to become official.

KLAS 8 in Las Vegas reports that the District Attorney’s Office is considering asking the state medical board to suspend Murray’s license to practice in Nevada.

“It’s rare that we have to petition to suspend a person’s professional license, but it is an option we have, and we’ll exercise that option,” District Attorney David Roger told The Review-Journal.

Murray was with the King of Pop when he died and is being investigated after reports say he allegedly administered the powerful anesthetic Propofol to Jackson shortly before his death. He has been the prime target of a manslaughter investigation into the icon’s death.
