Michael Jackson Doc Conrad Murray Released From Prison
Conrad Murray, the former physician convicted of causing the death of Michael Jackson, was released from a California prison early Monday. CBS News obtained Murray’s jail records, confirming that he left a jail in Downtown Los Angeles at 12:01 a.m.
Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of the King of Pop. A jury found the MD guilty of administering lethal doses of the sleep aid anesthetic propofol to the music icon.
Murray was originally sentenced to four years in jail, but served just shy of two after a change in a state law cut down his time behind bars. Following his conviction in 2011, the former cardiologist has had his licenses revoked from the three states where he practiced medicine.
