Of course we all loved Michael, but this is taking it a bit too far….

More than a dozen devoted Michael Jackson fans in Australia have reportedly committed suicide following the King Of Pop’s sudden passing last Thursday.

The calls come as Jackson Family friend, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, urged fans not to “self-destruct.”

“This is a time when hearts are heavy,” Jackson said. “There is great pain but great cause to celebrate Michael’s life. It made Michael happy saying ”We Are The World”. Don’t self destruct.”

According Sky News, Gary Taylor from London, who owns Michael’s online fan club, is aware of at least twelve suicides following the performer’s death.

“It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this,” News.com.au quoted Taylor as saying.

“He would want them to live.”

As many as fifty callers seeking help from suicide prevention hotline Lifeline Australia have told counselors that the singer’s death has left them deathly depressed.

“We have had some calls related to this,” said Lifeline CEO Dawn O’Neil. “In some cases, (a celebrity’s death) can be very distressing.”

If your life is so pathetic that you need to kill yourself because MJ died, then by all means please do so. We don’t need useless folks like you breathing our air.

Yeah, Kyle. That’s really nice… NOT. Maybe you ought to re-think dropping off your resume at the Suicide Hot Line. Give me a break.

I absolutely loved Michael Jackson and was devastated when he passed….still am. But taking your life isn’t changing anything. MJ is in a better place..hes at peace. He’s a lot better off then most of us. The quality of life he had wasn’t ideal. He couldn’t do anything without constant scrunity and being in the public eye. The best thing that we can do is make sure his legacy lives on. So buy all of his records and keep his music alive. Trust me, the pain will get easier in time. So just hold on and take care!

    God bless!!!

Hey ya’ll, just a word to let you know that I think it’s great how everybody is there for one another and helpin’ one another (except, of course Kyle and other entities like him) through this most difficult time. I am still crying and obviously will be for awhile yet, this grief is soooo intense; but we have got to hang on and be as strong as we can. We have to continue to help one another. We can do this guys–Michael would want us too. God bless him and all of us who are struggling through this incredibly sad time.

I think this is pathetic. I grew up listening to MJ. I followed his career just like anyone else in my generation but he was a singer and that’s all. Yeah, he donated money. If you were a multimillionaire i’m sure you would be able to spare some change for a cause. Especially if you’re trying to sell albums and keep your PR in good standing. It’s business. Give the clients what they want.. Putting MJ before god is a sin and you should be ashamed. Kyle is right. If you kill yourself over a singer that you never met or even spoke to, then you’re an idiot and maybe you don’t belong here. Suicide is a one way ticket to hell. What a dumb choice. I can stay here and grieve
the death of a singer or I can go to hell.
    Get over it people.

@I’m with Kyle- What if you did meet him? What if you DID speak to him? Would that change anything?? I do agree that there’s got to be another way other than suicide and that God comes first etc but, sometimes, God works through certain people (in this case through music and a person as a role model) to help others through trying times. Michael’s music was that way for me and has probably been that way for countless others hence these “extreme” feelings. I literally owe MJ’s music my life.

Remember everyone is different…some harder than others. His death impacted many…as well as myself. Neg comments are……a personality trait. We care because we should. Don’t Dog others that have different feelings….These are the people I would just love to pound…And I would given the chance. (and yes I can back that up)
