MICHAEL DOUGLAS has been selected as the newest NBC Nightly News. The two-time Academy Award winner’s new gig will allow him to introduce Nightly News host BRIAN WILLIAMS each weekday evening. The legendary actor’s recorded introduction was first heard over the airwaves on Monday, The Associated Press reports.

Brian said of Michael: “I appealed to Michael’s sense of romance and sentimentality and his love of the industry.”
