Canadian crooner Michael Buble has decided to not compete with British royals Prince William and Kate Middleton when it comes to planning his own big day.

The singer will marry Argentine actress Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre on April 6.

“I was going to do it on [April] 29th, but figured I wouldn’t get any press,” the singer said during an appearance on NBC’s The TODAY Show on Monday, referring to the British couple’s wedding day.
