A recently dumped Bachleor beauty will rebound nicely when she makes her debut on the Season Premiere of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars Monday night.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, Melissa Rycroft, 25, will fill th eslot vacated by Access Hollywood host Nancy O’Dell, who had to withdraw from the competition on March 5 due to a knee injury she suffered during rehearsal.

Melissa, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, is expected to perform live on tomorrow night’s premiere.

Melissa won the hearts of reality TV fans across the nation last week when she won the 13th season of The Bachelor only to be jilted by fiance Jason Mesnick, who ended his romance with Melissa to return to the show’s runner-up, Molly.

(Keep those names straight. There will be a quiz on this later.)

In other DWTS News, former Hefner hottie Holly Madison is believed to be taking over for singer Jewel, who also withdrew last week due to an injury.

I think this is horrible. Because of the outpouring of sympathy for her right now, I don’t the voting is going to be fair. I’m not saying she can’t dance, but just case she can’t, people are going to vote for her anyway based on personal feelings. What a big mistake!!!!

Let’s face it — all of the contestants on the show have “their public.” The Olympians have fans, the football players have fans, the soap opera stars have fans, etc.

This latest thing with Melissa being on the Bachelor will fade in a couple of weeks and then people will forget who she is if she can’t dance.

Also, the judges do not care who anyone “is.” They comment based on their dancing and that tends to influence peoples’ votes also. I’d never heard of Brooke last season, but I voted for her because she was really good.

If Melissa isn’t good (keep in mind —- she’s had 5 fewer weeks to learn than others, since she’s a fill-in for Nancy, who was injured), people won’t vote for her. If she’s good (which she probably will be, with her personality and cheerleading background) people WILL vote for her.

End of story. It all balances out in the end. Always has.

Melissa…Sympathy vote???? I do not think so; you can say that about many contestants. DWTS fan base, votes for the celebrity they like and the dance skills combined. If anything, her only being a reality star from the bachelor could hurt her not help her. She did a fabulous job and I think she will go far based on her skills. Even though she is not the one I am voting for in the end, I hope her best, she did awesome last night.
