Mel B Replacing Sharon Osbourne on “America’s Got Talent”

Everyone’s favorite flavor of Spice is bringing her Horse and Pony Show to the America’s Got Talent stage.

On Thursday, NBC bosses announced that former Spice Girl Melanie “Mel B” Brown will be joining the next season of AGT as a judge, replacing the exiting Sharon Osbourne. Mel will join remaining judges Howie Mandel and Howard Stern.

The announcement comes just days after Brown abruptly packed up her home in Sydney — where she’d worked as a judge on The X Factor Australia — and moved her family back to Los Angeles

Osbourne quit Talent in August, after NBC dropped her son from a proposed TV show when they learned he was suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). The matriarch was furious when Jack Osbourne, 26, was axed by email from the upcoming NBC reality show Stars Earn Stripes, allegedly because of his diagnosis with the debilitating disease.

The elder Osbourne decided she no longer wanted anything to do with the network, telling The New York Post:

“I just can’t be fake. It’s discrimination and it was badly handled. It’s time to move on.”

An all new season of America’s Got Talent will premiere this summer.
