Meb Keflezighi wins Boston Marathon

Meb Keflezighi, a 38 year-old American Man, took the title today of the Boston Marathon winner.

Meb, who won today with an official time of an official time of 2:08:37, became the first American man to win the race since 1983.

This is the first running of the Boston Marathon since last years terrorist attack, which killed 3 people and injured 260. When the bomb exploded, every day since I’ve wanted to come back and win it,” Keflezighi said.

“When the Red Sox won it and put the trophy right there,” he said, pointing to the finish line, “I wanted to win it for the people of Boston. It’s beyond words. The laurel wreath, the trophy.”

In 2004, Keflezighi earned a silver medal at the Olympic games and in 2009 also won the New York City marathon.
