Matt Lauer will interview Tom Cruise on The Today Show next week.

As part of Tom’s Valkyrie promo tour, nearly three years after the explosive Today interview in which Tom called Matt “glib,” the frenemies will once again get together for a chat on the NBC morning grab fest December 15.

Things got heated between the respected journalist and the act vet back in June 2005 when Matt quizzed Tom, an outspoken Scientology supporter, on the church’s anti-psychiatry stance during an interview on Today.
