Marlo Thomas — author, philanthropist, and iconic star of the funny sixties series That Girl — has been cast as Demi Moore’s mother and Miley Cyrus’ grandmother in the upcoming box office comedy LOL, a remake of a 2009 French flick of the same name.

The forthcoming feature focuses on a teenage girl who is dumped by her more sexually experienced boyfriend while her divorcee mother struggles to adapt to life as a single woman.
