Marilyn Manson Swine Flu

Marilyn Manson has swine flu.

The controversial shock rocker, once linked to the 1999 Columbine school shooting, has been officially diagnosed with the H1N1 virus. The virus is not believed to life-threatening and Manson is expected to make a speedy recovery, which prompted the star to crack a few joking about his diagnosis on his MySpace Celebrity Blog on Tuesday.

“So I have officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU,” he wrote. “I know everyone will suggest that fucking a pig is how this disease was obtained. However, the doctor said my past choices in women have in no way contributed to me acquiring this mysterious sickness. Unfortunately, I am going to survive. M [sic]”

Manson isn’t the only celebrity to have been diagnosed with swine flu, which originated in Mexico. Last summer, actor Rupert Grint – who plays Ron Weasley in the hit wizard film franchise Harry Potter – contracted the highly contagious and potentially fatal disease.
