Mariah Carey’s HIV-Positive Sister Escorting Online
Mariah Carey’s twin baby joy has turned into family drama as the HIV-positive addict sister of the Grammy-winning songbird resurfaces at the center of another tabloid headline-snatching scandal.
Twice busted for prostitution, Alison Carey-Scott is so strapped for cash that she’s once again turned to selling herself as an “adult escort” — despite being diagnosed with the virus that causes AIDS more than 15 years ago. Alison, 49, uses a fake picture of a hot blonde and the Long Island, NY edition of online classifieds website Backpage.com (aka “The New Craigslist”) to set up $250 an hour house calls with gentleman callers, a new report has learned.
“Tired of meeting ladies younger than your daughter? Looking for a relaxing, unrushed experience with an attractive woman in her thirties? I’d be happy to visit at home or another convenient location,” Alison writes under the headline: “Looking for a Companion on Eastern L.I.?”
“You have no idea how badly I need cash right now,” a tearful Alison cried during an interview with The National Enquirer’s Feb. 28 edition. “But I’m not having sex for money! I provide personal companionship and erotic body rubs,” she explains.
According to Alison, she’s been forced into this degrading line of work because her famous sister and their mother, opera singer Patricia Carey, will not help her support herself.
“I’ve been forced to do this because my family refuses to help me financially. For weeks, I was driving in a vehicle withh practically no brakes. It was unsafe, so I reached out to my family for help, but they basically ignored me,” says Alison, who calls Mariah a “vain and heartless multimillionaire.”
It should be noted that Mariah has ponied up thousands of dollars for Alison’s drug therapy and in-patient rehab over the years, while Patricia is raising the youngest of Alison’s children. Still, the recovering crack addict says she’s been clean and sober for 14 months and is working to “turn her life around.”
A fact she wishes that the rest of The Careys would take into consideration.
“I attend drug and alcohol support meetings, receive counseling, and have sponsor to lean on. I’m also enrolled in college, which I hope will someday provide a better life and financial independence.”
