Mariah Carey will perform The Jackson 5′s “I’ll Be There” at Michael Jackson’s public memorial in Los Angeles on Tuesday, according to a scoop from Britain’s Daily Mirror.

The track, penned by Motown founder Berry Gordy, became a smash hit for the second time after Mariah performed the song as part of her MTV Unplugged show in 1992.

Other stars expected to take the stage at tomorrow’s funeral at the Staples Center include Michael’s mentor Diana Ross, longtime friend Stevie Wonder, and modern day charttoppers Jennifer Hudson and Justin Timberlake.
