Let’s not forget he has these works made for him in an Italian workshop using computer assisted design by workers on what is a very labour intensive fabrication process. All he’s qualified to do is polish the damn thing and organise to borrow the gold which would be sitting in a vault somewhere anyway. Artist? Sculptor? Not in the Michelangelo sense of the word.

The earlier ones he did of her in bronze, then painted white, were absolutely stunning. Erotic. Eerie. I would have killed to won one. I suspect the gold doesn’t photograph well but the statue is fabulous to see in the flesh.
