HA! A Minnesota man was arrested Monday after allegedly hurling tomatoes at Republican politican Sarah Palin during a book signing at the Mall of America.

The 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate was at the mall signing copies of her best-selling memoir, Going Rogue, when Jeremy Paul Olson, 33, suddenly targeted her with two tomatoes while standing on the second floor balcony of the mall.

Fortunately for Sarah, the tomatoes Jeremy pelted at her slammed into a Bloomington police officer instead. Bloomington Police report that Commander Mark Stehlik was struck in the face with one of the tomatoes and Jeremy may now face charges of assaulting a police officer. As officers were arresting Olson he said that “he wished he had better aim” according to Commander Stehlik.

He was arrested on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct.

More than 1,000 people turned out at the Mall of America Rotunda on Monday for the Palin signing.
