Mama June is not happy about TLC canceling her family show Here Come Honey Boo Boo, but she is very grateful for all show’s fans sticking by them, during this hard time.

It was rumored earlier this week that Mama June Shannon started dating one of her ex’s, convicted child molester Mark McDaniel. A photograph of the two hanging out in a hotel room surfaced right around the time that Mama June’s relationship with Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson started to unravel. It is unclear what their relationship entailed, but McDaniel was released from prison in March after serving a 10-year prison sentence for forcing an 8-year-old to perform oral sex. Shannon was supposedly dating McDaniel at the time of the crime, and the little girl was a relative of Shannon’s. McDaniel is now a registered sex offender in Georgia.

Shannon took to her daughter Alana Thompson “Honey Boo Boo’s” Facebook page to deny the reports that she started dating McDaniel again. “I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors, remember you can’t believe everything you read! Ppl sell stories to the tabloid[s] everyday that r false!” She continued, “It isn’t true. I promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and i would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 years ago for it and I wouldn’t go back.”

She even posted a “truth video” this morning. Shannon writes, “This is a truth video and answering some of yall question over the last few months since we have had to stay quiet and hope this helps and a appreciation video to all our awesome fans over years…”  In the video she mentions how her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon made a public statement to Radar saying that her mom has not been dating McDaniel.

According to TMZ, TLC doesn’t believe Shannon’s testimony and has decided to cancel the hit show. The network will not air the new season of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” which has already been filmed. It does however still stand behind the show’s stars, “Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children;s ongoing comfort and well being.”
