Madonna Visits Stage Accident Victims
Madonna arrived in France this morning to visit some of the eight workers injured in last week’s stage accident which killed two people.
Eight workers who were preparing the city’s Stade Velodrome for the concert were injured when a crane toppled over and a section of the stage fell.
The 50-year-old had been due to perform at the Velodrome Stadium in Marseilles Sunday night, instead
clad in all black, the singer landed at Marseille-Marignane airport and sped off with a bodyguard in a black Mercedes, where she was taken to meet the family of 52-year-old Charles Criscenzo who died along with 23-year-old Briton Charles Prow.
Madonna is expected to visit two Marseilles hospitals to see the three workers who have remained in care since last week’s accident.
