Guinness Book Of Records ‘World’s Most Successful Female Musician’ Madonna has been named a 2008 nominee for induction into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Beastie Boys, Donna Summer and Leonard Cohen join the Material Girl as 2008 nominees, according to Billboard Magazine.

The chosen five will then be entered into the hall in March 2008.

Each inductee, who must have made their first recording at least 25 years ago, will be represented by a computerised jukebox which will contain every song they have ever made. A film telling the story of their music careers will also be projected onto three screens.
