As for this lawsuit, as uncomfortable as wearing this garment is, I can't even imagine it decorated with anything that is sharp, like a whatever it was that hit her in the eye, but my take, you buy thongs embroidered with sharp things, you're taking a risk, whether they actually fly off and hit you in the eye or not, something is going to get injured.
