Britney Spears’ fragile emotional state has been further tested by fears that her fifty-two year old mother, Lynne Spears, had an affair with ex-husband Kevin Federline during her intanglement with the former dancer.

“To Britney, there’s no doubt in her mind that these things happened,” a hospital insider reveals to In Touch Weekly. “She genuinely believes something went on between Lynne and both Kevin and Adnan. Because of her condition, it’s difficult to sort out what has really happened. She’s torn up inside.”

Friends of K-Fed deny that the onetime aspiring rapper bedded his former mother-in-law:

“It’s just Britney saying something to lash out at her mom. He never ever slept with Lynne. They are close right now, but it’s all about the kids.”
