Britney Spears is reported to be very P.Oed over mom Lynne Spears’ plans for a Mother’s Day 2008 memoir, ‘Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.’ ”Britney’s really upset,” a member of the star’s team reports to the press. ”This could start a new estrangement all over again.”
”Make no mistake here. This whole book thing is all about Lynne. … Britney is merely the hook to sell it.”
The book will be co-authored will be Grand Rapids, Mich.-based writer Lorilee Craker. A big priority for Lorilee is helping Lynne reshape her image from that of a money-grubbing stage mother obsessed with making her daughters into stars, says a Hollywood insider.
”People are so accusatory toward [Lynne] and so judgmental of her, and it just drives me crazy because I know the real her,” Craker told the Grand Rapids Press.
Britney Spears has refused to meet with Lorilee Cracker.
