There were two winning lottery tickets sold in last night’s $355 million Mega Millions lottery drawing – one in Idaho and one in Washington state.
Did you know that save for a few deviations the winning combination was a deadringer for the “cursed” numbers that haunted likeable Lost character Hugo “Hurley” Reyes (played by Jorge Garcia)?
Coincidentally, the first three numbers and the Mega Ball are exactly the same. The five white ball numbers were 4, 8, 15, 25, and 47 and the Mega Ball number was 42. The winning numbers on the now-defunct ABC show were: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42.
Mega Millions says 25,587 tickets matched three of the winning numbers and the Mega number to win $150. Approximately 9,000 of those people played Hurley’s numbers, Damon Lindelof, Lost co-creator and former executive producer, said on his Twitter feed early Wednesday.
“9,078 people played Hurley’s numbers in the MegaMillions tonight, each winning $150. #THATSSORAVEN”
