It’s 2015, the amount of music we’ve listened to thus far in our existence is in the millions. The amount of music out there in general, well, it’s incalculable. So it is quite understandable how some musical artists create songs that are not 100% original.
Take a listen to this awesome mashup of six hit country songs: “Sure Be Cool If You Did”- Blake Shelton, “Close You’re Eyes”- Parmalee, “This Is How We Roll”- Florida Georgia Line, “Ready Set Roll”- Chase Rice, “Chillin’ It”- Cole Swindell, and “Drunk On You”- Luke Bryan- which all happen to sound very very similar.
Although I find it ridiculous that none of these people realized their hit songs sounded like one another, I gotta say I’m not made.
I can completely understand creating a song that sounds somewhat like someone else’s. But this is five others times that a country artist decided that they liked the same sound. That’s a little excessive. I guess we are repetitive in nature. Once we like something, we try to recreate it as much as possible. We are so unoriginal sometimes, or five times.
