Vanessa Hudgens isn’t the only former Disney actress who believes she would be perfect for a role in the forthcoming sequel to the hit 2008 movie Twilight.

We hear actress Lindsay Lohan is among the young Hollywood stars clamoring to sink her teeth into the vampire epic New Moon.

“Lindsay is obsessed with the books and thinks she would fit perfectly,” a source close to the unemployed 22-year-old blabs in this week’s edition of Star Magazine. “She’s been bombarding producers and casting directors with calls, e-mails, and texts pleading her case.”

But if you’re hoping to see LiLo cast in the eagerly-anticipated follow-up, don’t hold your breath. The tabloid claims producers are so revolted by the idea of the trouble prone actress tanking their picture, no one will meet with her to discuss an audition.

Yes, Lindsay Lohan has had her share of screw ups, and I don’t really know what role she’s attempting to get…but SERIOUSLY???

Are they TRYING to make the New Moon film as different from the book as possible?
