Lindsay Lohan has landed her first feature role since starring in the 2007 stinker I Know Who Killed Me.

Lindsay will join Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette in The Other Side, an independent fantasy film directed by David Michaels, Variety has learned.

Michaels has defended his decision to cast Lindsay in light of her reputation for demonstrating unprofessional behavior. “Lindsay’s very aware of people’s perceptions of her,” David told the trade paper. “She’s really committed to doing what she has to in order to change that.”

The Other Side will begin shooting this October on an island off the coast of Manhattan..
