It appears media maven Barbara Walters won’t be getting her “no-holds barred” interview with troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan after all. Team Lohan has pulled the plug on the provocative chat, which had been scheduled to air as an one-hour 20/20 primetime special on Nov. 16.
The gabfest was set to coincide with the Nov. 25 premiere of Liz and Dick, a Lifetime movie in which the actress plays late screen dame Elizabeth Taylor. In October, ABC reached a deal for Walters to spend half a day with Lindsay on the set of the telepicture — complete with behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with co-star Grant Bowler and producer Larry Thompson.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Lindsay’s newly-appointed PR team Rogers & Cowan yanked the star from the interview after becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the direction the chat likely would have taken. After all, Barbara is known for quizzing celebrities on the innermost details of their professional and personal lives.
