“Operation Lohan Comeback” is in full swing: Actress Lindsay Lohan has been tapped to appear as herself on an upcoming episode of Glee.
Yep, the same hit Fox series that she previously chastised for using her well-documented legal woes as a script punchline.
La Lohan will pop up as one of the celebrity judges in the annual nationals competition during an episode airing later this season, her rep said Tuesday.
Just a year ago, Lohan was the butt of a joke on the show. LiLo’s momager and chief enabler, Dina, was particularly livid with Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who mocked the scandal-prone star’s substance abuse problems during her Glee guest appearance as McKinley Spanish teacher Holly Holliday.
Holly chose to make one class a little more interesting by inviting her student characters to talk about modern celebrities.
“Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right? Repeat… Repeat after me with more energy. Come on! How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab? Five times. Five,” she said in Spanish, encouraging her pupils to practice their numbers.
Glee returns to the airwaves in April. Lohan isn’t the only star headed for the halls of McKinley High: Lindsay joins Whoopi Goldberg and Matt Bomer, who have also signed on for upcoming guest appearances on the Emmy Award-winning musical-comedy.
Lohan is due in a Los Angeles courtroom on Thursday for a progress report hearing on her probation.
