Lindsay Lohan Hospitalized After Car Crash in California
Ouch! Lindsay Lohan was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital after she was injured in a car crash on Friday. The headlining-grabbing actress made the news once again after the Porsche she was driving collided with an 18-wheeler from behind as she cruised along the Pacific Coast Highway this afternoon.
A “bruised and bloodied” Lohan and her assistant — a passenger in the luxury whip — were transported to an undisclosed hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Santa Monica Fire Department.
No word yet on what caused the crash — but Lohan’s alleged reckless abandon behind the wheel has put the actress in the middle of a many a lawsuit. The Mean Girls is being sued by Nubia Del Carmen Preza, a nanny who claims she was injured when Lindsay allegedly hit her with her Maserati back in 2008. Preza is seeking unspecified damages due to “disabling and serious personal injuries, pain, suffering and anguish” that allegedly followed the incident.
Additionally, paparazzo Grigor Balyan claims he was injured when a car Lindsay’s assistant was reportedly driving under her direction hit him outside a Hollywood club earlier this year.
Lindsay, who turns 26 next month, has been busy filming the Lifetime biopic Liz and Dick at Marina Del Rey this week. The Lifetime Original Movie tracks Elizabeth Taylor’s highly publicized, roller-coaster romance with Richard Burton.
Liz and Dick will debut later this year.
