Lindsay Lohan’s driving may have just begun making headlines, but the ‘Mean Girls’ star has been making waves with the California Department of Motor Vehicles since soon after she earned her State Driver’s License at age seventeen. LiLo was even officially warned she would soon be labelled a “negligent operator” of a car.

The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) said Lindsay’s dangerous record goes back to December 2003, when she got a speeding ticket at age 17 and was convicted in L.A. Juvenile Court.

She received at least one serious violation a year in the L.A. area - speeding in October 2004, running a red light in November 2005, and speeding in October 2006. The former child star was deemed such a danger behind the wheel she was sent two official warning letters, one in 2004 and another in 2006, prompting her to change her ways or face civil consequences:

“Please . . . ask yourself if there is anything you can do to avoid future violations and/or accidents. You can make the highways safer for all of us,” the letters pleaded.
