Lindsay Lohan is in negotiations to sign on as a fashion consultant for noted European designer House of Emanuel Ungaro.

“Ungaro thinks Lindsay is going to bring the company new energy and new buzz,” a fashion-forward insider revealed to The New York Post’s Page Six Column this morning.

However, news of the troubled actress’ potential involvement with the label isn’t sitting well with current head designer Esteban Cortazar — or much of the rest of the creative team.

Cortazar is concerned about what a partnership with Lohan could mean for Ungaro’s reputation. After all, Lindsay is known as much for her disastrous personal life as she is for her ill-received recent films.

“[He] is threatening to leave… if they bring Lindsay on as a consultant. It has been a revolving door of designers there and if he leaves, his team will go with him.”

“She is going to be the nail in the coffin. Nobody will take them seriously ever again,” the spy added.
