Lindsay Lohan is heading back to the big screen.

Lohan will star in director Robert Rodriguez next film Machete, the actress revealed on her Twitter page on Friday.

Machete is an expansion of the fake film trailer for the movie of the same name that was part of the director’s Grindhouse. Just last week, Robert told MTV News that he was hoping to get LiLo to appear in the film.

“Something was made official today!” she Tweeted before linking to the film’s IMDB page. “….Excited to be back on set again,” she wrote in a later Tweet.

Lindsay is sporting new platinum blonde extensions for her role in the film.

“I was so upset to hurt my red natural hair that I finally got back, but this movie is worth the dye job.”
