Struggling to keep her finances in check, Lindsay Lohan has been forced to hit the prowl in search of a roommate to help cut living costs.

The former child star, who has been persistently plagued by bankruptcy rumors, has squandered much of her $15 million fortune on expensive rehab treatments, clothes, vacations, partying and bodyguards, In Touch Weekly reports.

“It looks like Lindsay needs cash. She’s just not earning enough right now to keep up with her lifestyle.”

And without another film lined up to bring in some much needed cash, Lindsay could be soon be penniless, friends say.

“If she doesn’t have a hit soon, she’s going to go broke,” a Lohan spy told In Touch.
