Lindsay Lohan Victoria Gotti Role In The Works For “Gotti: Three Generations”

Real-life Long Island native Lindsay Lohan is in chats to join John Travolta and James Franco in the role of Mafioso Principessa Victoria Gotti in a big budget Hollywood feature about late Gambino mobster John Gotti, his son John Jr., and the criminal empire they helped build.

The Mafia don’s daughter — who recently gave Travolta the stamp of approval to play her dad on the silver screen — will likely see herself portrayed by the trouble-prone Lohan when Gotti: Three Generations opens in theaters in 2012. Victoria, a novelist and former tabloid reporter, became a reality darling in 2005, when she and her three well-gelled sons invited cameras into their Long Island mansion for the hit A&E docu-soap Growing Up Gotti. The show ran for three seasons before being cancelled in 2007.

Full casting details about Gotti: Three Generations will be unveiled in a news conference on in New York City on April 12. The biopic about “Dapper Don” John Gotti — who died in prison in 2002 — will be shot in The Big Apple on a budget of about $75 million later this year. In addition to Travolta, Lohan, and Franco, socialite Kim Kardashian has been linked to the role of Kim Gotti, the longtime wife of John Jr., in what would be her biggest acting role to date. Marc Fiore will produce with Nick Cassavetes is expected to step behind the camera as director.

Meanwhile, Lohan has been keeping busy auditioning for a host of jobs while she’s in New York. Despite a myriad of looming legal troubles stemming from the alleged theft of a pricey necklace, we hear the repeat rehabber is setting her sights on a villain role in the upcoming Superman reboot with Henry Cavill and Amy Adams? According to RadarOnline, the actress is auditioning for a role alongside Superman’s foe, Lex Luther.

“Lindsay plans to return from New York on Wednesday and meet with producers and read with an actor who is up for the role of Lex Luther,” a source close to the actress claimed.

Nathan Folks, a friend of Lindsay’s, told the site: “Lindsay said she would be ecstatic to be part of the Superman movie… it’s a dream of hers.”

Really though, wouldn’t any movie not going straight to DVD be a drem come true for Lindsay? Just saying.
