After announcing her intent to adopt a child during an interview in the November issue of British Marie Claire, Lindsay Lohan is forging ahead with plans to provide a needy child with a “better life.”

The 22-year-old actress, a recovering cocaine addict and alcoholic, has been in touch both with Angelina Jolie’s and Madonna’s camps in search of information regarding foreign adoptions.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Madonna personally called LiLo back to “discuss her experience adopting in Malawi.”
