Linda Hogan is a friend to the animals. Quick, somebody hide the puppies! The pet lover and former reality television personality has joined forces with Pink Paws for Life, a charitable organization committed to finding a cure for pet cancers. As their official spokesperson, the estranged wife of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan will appear at a number of fundraising events to help more than 1.4 million of our furry friends who will be diagnosed with the disease this year.

Linda’s mission as Pink Paws for Life celebrity spokesperson is to ensure that cancer in animals becomes more treatable — and less frequent.

Linda Hogan? Is that the best we can do for man’s best friend?! Was legendary animal lover Betty White not available?

I’m Linda Hogan urging each and every one of you to join me and Pink Paws for Life in the walk to cure pet cancer,” Linda said in a statement on the charity’s Official Website last week.

“Going through cancer with a pet is a horrible experience for everyone involved. Pet cancer simply does not receive enough funding. Pink Paws For Life is changing that.”

“In this age of information and technology, it is my opinion that a 25 percent survival rate is unacceptable,” she continued. “I’m optimistic that through research and education, a cure will be discovered.”

“I love animals. It is something I am passionate about. Canine cancer has risen to epidemic levels. Keeping our pets healthy and cancer free is an extremely important endeavor for anyone who loves their animals like I do. I’m sure those who have gone through it, or know someone who has, can relate…..”

“By donating today and becoming proactive, collectively, we can save millions of lives,” Linda continued. “So, please put your best foot forward – get involved, donate and spread the word – help our four-legged family members.”

Linda will participate in a Philadelphia fundraising walk on August 16. Three additional walks are scheduled in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles this fall.
