Lily Allen Responds To Cocaine Controversy

Lily Allen has issued a statement denying that she condones the illegal use of cocaine.
The “Smile” star sparked controversy this week after claiming that friends who used the highly-addictive substance could still lead a normal life, adding that “some people just don’t know how to use drugs properly.”
The National Drugs Prevention Alliance blasted Allen, accusing the acid-tongued 23-year-old of “harming young people who will at some point in their lives have to make a decision about taking drugs.”
“Lily Allen would like to state unequivocally that she does not condone illegal drug use and has every sympathy with individuals and families whose lives have been blighted by drugs,” reads a statement released from the singer’s camp on Thursday.

Nice try at a save, Lily! Who knew that people in the real world wouldn’t understand the proper methodology of illegal cocaine usage.
Hint: next time, make sure you’re not under the influence before you grant an interview. It’ll save lots of embarrassing work for your publicist later.
