Lily Allen says the media is being too big a stink out of the “good-natured” barbs she traded with music legend Elton John at the 2008 GQ Men of the Year Awards earlier this week.
“I’m not defending my drunkeness because i don’t need to, i’m 23 it was an awards ceremony i drank the free champagne, how awful of me,” Lily blogged on Friday.
Lily says there’s no feud between she and Sir Elton.
“Trying to create a feud on the other hand, and trying to make me out as being some rude little girl with a drink problem is just unfair,” she says. “Elton and I exchanged jokes and there were no hard feelings at all, in fact neither of us gave it a second thought.”

Lily Allen is always being criticised , for everything, she stays inside her house for days at a time, and does not appear drunk, in public. I will give her consideration, for that. And for being a good person, when she hasn’t had to much of the tickle. Shes very sweet in some of the Mr. Paparazzi video tapes, sometimes she even talks to those guys, and there not her favorite people. So instead of saying I don’t like her shoes or her dress, or her opinion (it’s her opinion) I’ll just say she’s pretty cool!
