Lily Allen has been axed from appearing at the MTV Video Music Awards next month following the revocation of her US Work Visa. The singer’s visa was revoked earlier this month when she was detained for six hours by US customs and immigration following a March kicking attack on a photographer.
MTV organizers have canned Lil’s appearance at September ceremonies in Las Vegas- which was due to be a collaboration with Kanye West.
“MTV were (sic) desperate to get Lily and they’re furious with her visa situation. They’ve decided to pull the plug because they didn’t want to leave it to the last minute to find out if she could or couldn’t make it.”
The Mirror added that Allen is now in talks to resolve the situation.
