The holidays have come early for more than 500 Lil Wayne fans who received the prison-bound rapper’s new rock album — Rebirth — almost two months before its scheduled release, thanks to a shipping snafu by Amazon.com.

Lil Wayne will drop Rebirth on Feb. 1– just before dropping into The Big House on weapons charges on Feb. 9 — but this week, several hundred copies of the Grammy-winning rapper’s long-awaited album were sent to Amazon.com customers who had put in pre-orders, industry sources tell Billboard.com.

The online merchant allegedly sent copies of the disc to some customers on its previous release date, which would have been Tuesday, Dec. 15.
