Save the Date, Royal Watchers: The Lifetime Network has tapped April 18 as premiere for its Prince William-Kate Middleton romance biopic, aptly-titled William & Kate, starring Nico Evers-Swindell and Camilla Luddington in the title roles.
In addition, Lifetime plans to debut the first of a six part one-hour documentary series which will examine the history of William and Kate’s relationship, which began when the pair met as college students at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland in 2001. Royal Wedding of a Lifetime will also look at comparisons between Kate and Wills’ late mother Princess Diana, the bride-to-be’s wedding gown, cuisine for the royal wedding, and a preview of the wedding day.
The royal love story has been chronicled in speech bubbles and cartoons ever since the longtime couple announced their engagement in November. Kate and William: A Very Public Love Affair, a comic book telling the story of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s romance, is due to be published in April, joining a host of other books and memorabilia flooding the market ahead of the buzzed-about royal wedding.
Approximately 1,900 people — including David and Victoria Beckham, Kanye West, and Elton John — are expected to attend William and Kate’s April 29 wedding at Westminster Abbey in London.
