Lesbian Teen Constance McMillen Says School Cancelled Prom Over Same-Sex Date
Mississippi teen Constance McMillen — who happens to be a lesbian — says her high school nixed the annual junior/senior prom because she wanted to wear a tuxedo and escort her girlfriend to the event. The 18-year-old and her lawyer Christine Sun spoke to The Early Show Friday about a federal lawsuit over the Fulton, Mississippi school’s refusal to allow same-sex couples to attend prom.
