Leona Lewis Autobiography: Leona Lewis Book October 2009
At just 23, international singing sensation Leona Lewis has inked a multimillion dollar deal to pen her life story.
The “Bleeding Love” star will reveal how she rose from the ranks of a Pizza Hut waitress to X-Factor-winning superstar status in an autobiography from publisher Hodder & Stoughton that is set to hit bookseller shelves in October.
“The last two years have been an unbelievable experience for me. So to have it documented in pictures and to be able to tell people in my own words what it feels like means a lot to me,” Leona said of the opportunity to publish her memoirs in a statement on Monday.
“I know the book will be full of special moments and I’m already having a brilliant time putting it together.”
“We are absolutely thrilled to be working with a global superstar like her,” says Leona’s editor Fenella Bates. “This will be the first time Leona tells the story of how the X Factor launched her from waitressing in Pizza Hut in Hackney to stardom on both sides of the Atlantic.”
“It is a real-life fairytale and every girl’s dream. Her second album will be released just after publication, so the timing for the book couldn’t be better. 2009 will be Leona’s year.”
Leona’s debut album Spirit has sold more than five million copies worldwide.
