Lenny Kravitz was hospitalized in Miami on Monday suffering from an extreme case of bronchitis, a spokesperson for the singer has announced. The forty-three year old Lenny was in the M.I.A promoting his new LP, It is Time for a Love Revolution, which dropped on February 5th.
The singer had been suffering from a series of severe respiratory tract infections stemming from the flu since mid-january, and the illness evolved into bronchitis.
In a statement obtained by the Associated Press, Lenny’s rep stated: “Due to extreme dehydration and fatigue, doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital. He was taken this morning to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami for immediate treatment.”
