The lights of Broadway will go dim for Legally Blonde: The Musical on October 19. The show, which opened on April 29, 2007, is closing after 595 regular performances, Broadway.com revealed on Wednesday.

In June, MTV debutLegally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods, an eight episode reality series to cast an actress who would replace Laura Bell Bundy, Broadway’s original “Elle Woods.” Bailey Hanks, who was crowned the contest’s winner by a panel of judges, has been starring in the role of “Elle” since July.
