Lebron James Takes A Social Media Break During NBA Playoffs, Won’t Be Distracted
Lebron James has one thing on his mind right now and that is winning another NBA championship. As a result, like in previous years, he will be giving up social media for the duration of the playoffs.
He is considered by just about everyone to be the greatest basketball player currently playing in the NBA and some people would even argue that he is better than Michael Jordan, but only time will tell if his legacy becomes as great as MJ’s.
James is a forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers and upon returning to his home in Cleveland, he is looking to make another run at an NBA championship. He was able to get far in the playoffs with the Cavs before but never won an NBA championship.
Lebron James has more help as a member of the Cavs this time around of course with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, and they are easily a favorite to make the NBA finals. He has won two NBA championships with the Miami Heat and will look to win his first as a member of the Cavs this year.
On his road to his next NBA championship, there can be no distractions, and so he will not be on Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media until the season ends. Speaking about his lack of social media, King James said, “I don’t care about nonsense. There’s too much nonsense out there. Not during this time, this is when I lock in right now and I don’t need nothing creeping into my mind that don’t need to be there.”
The Cavs have had one of the best records since the All-Star break especially, and certainly have the most star power of any Eastern Conference team. In addition to their three main stars, the Cavs get help from JR Smith, Timofey Mozgov, and Iman Shumpert.
Lebron James’ absence from social media may be helpful to his team and we will see what happens in the coming weeks as the playoffs continue. The Cavs will host the Celtics in game 2 of their first-round series Tuesday at 7 p.m.
