Lebron James Gives Much-Deserved Love To His Teammate Kevin Love, Cites His Unbelievable Play
Lebron James is without a doubt the greatest basketball player in any playoff series right now. Many people would call him the best player to ever play the game, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t use a little help from his teammates in the big games.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are certainly one of the favorites to win the NBA title this year and James would settle for nothing less than that. He returned to his home in Cleveland where he hopes to win his third NBA championship and first as a member of the Cavs.
However, they can’t do it with just him and Kyrie Irving, and perhaps surprising to some, Kevin Love, have both been huge in their first 3 playoff games. Love is playing in his first playoff game in his first season with the Cavs after playing for a mediocre team for much of his career and seems to be enjoying every minute of it.
Lebron James spoke highly of his new teammate when saying “Except for those first couple of minutes, and rightfully so, he’s played an unbelievable series.” He is referencing the fact that Love went 2-for-11 to start game 1, but what star doesn’t struggle a bit in their first-ever playoff game?
Of course, things were not always the greatest between Lebron and his new teammates, but over the course of the season, and perhaps because they are in the playoffs now, things finally seem to be clicking for the 3 NBA stars.
Lebron had great praise for the big man after the win when saying, “I’ve always believed in him. I don’t really get too involved in what everybody said. I know what type of player he is, what type of competitor he is. I know he relishes the opportunity to be a part of this franchise and be a part of the postseason.”
Winning games and performing well is the best way to show your teammates that you are committed to the team and Kevin Love came up big in their game 3 win last night when scoring 23 points including going 6-for-10 from behind the 3 point line.
Lebron James and the Cavs now lead the Celtics 3-0 in the first round of the playoffs, and no team has ever come behind from being down 3-0 in a series before, putting them a good position to advance to the second round.
