(And in news that will surprise absolutely no one…) Country singer LeAnn Rimes and her husband of seven years, backup dancer Dean Sheremet, are divorcing.

The 26-year-old made the announcement on her website Tuesday. In a message to her fans, LeAnn wrote: “After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage.”

The official split comes six months after tabloid reports romantically linked Rimes to CSI: Miami star Eddie Cibrian. The rumored couple allegedly began bumping pelvis while co-starring in the Lifetime TV movie Northern Lights last March. Last week, Cibrian filed for divorce from his wife of eight years, former model Brandi Glanville.

Dean and LeAnn have been married since February 2002.
